Thank you for shopping at In The Woods. 

We truly appreciate you choosing our small and independent trade.

We would always like to believe you are excited with your purchase when you receive it,  but if you aren't wholly content with your selection,  we will happily assist you.  

14 Days

You have 14 calendar days from date of receipt to request a return.

Please contact us through email: nycartistinthewoods@gmail.com with intent of return.  An email allows us to work together  knowing all too well about the unexpected delays beyond our control within the postal service.

We will forward an electronic shipping label with our address and a simple form to fill in and return to us either through email or printed copy in return package. 

The form is a simple query to help us further improve our policies during the early stages of this venture. 

Conditions of return

Although we do our best to offer a true and concise interpretation of our pieces, purchasing through a screen can be a bit disappointing once you have your much anticipated order in your hands. The color may be off, the texture is not quite what you expected or you just simply changed your mind. We understand, all we ask is for the item(s) to be returned in the condition you received it.

If there is evidence of wear, such as heavy fragrances, it is soiled, the texture of drape and/or overall quality of the piece  has been altered due to mishandling, we will not accept the return and the refund will be nulled and void. 

When we receive and inspect your returned item(s), we will notify you within 24 hours with the resolution via email.

Shipping

The buyer is responsible for shipping costs on returned item(s). 

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

The fees of the initial shipping will be deducted from your refund, with an additional 10% restocking fee per item.
Using a trackable shipping service is recommended. At best, consider adding shipping insurance to the parcel when returning an item to us.
We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

A trackable and/or insured package eases any detective work when parcel is off-course finding its way back to us.  

Refund

Refunds will be made with original form of payment. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If your item was a gift, we will issue a credit voucher to use towards future purchases when request for return is within the 14 calendar day grace period.

The time it may take for a refund to be posted to the original form of payment may vary.

Note: There will be a 10% restocking fee for each item returned.

Postage charges will not be refunded as well as possible VAT charges for countries outside of the European Union. 
 

Restocking Fee

We are not happy having to do this, however, as a small business we can not avoid a 10% restocking fee on returns.

The restocking fees cover the handling of returned item(s) to be reintroduced to the online platform.

The restocking fee also covers the costs associated with processing electronic refunds. 

Items not eligible for refunds are

  • Custom Orders

  • Sale Items

  • Promotional Discounts

  • Damaged items caused by neglect of care by buyer. 

We offer all the garment care information on our website and clear and precise printed information is included in all orders. 

  • Items exceeding the 14 day return policy without intent of return email.
